Social Development

The future we want

In our work with the United Nations we offer a spiritual perspective to discussions on social development. Social Development is a broadly inclusive area that touches on every aspect of life: such as relationships, work, health, culture, education, religion, science and economics. With our work in social development we support people in their endeavors to improve the quality of their lives. We facilitate positive change by assisting people in their self-determined endeavors to work with knowledge, experience and resources.

We see that there are two energies at work in the world: one ascending and the other descending. In a world that is undergoing significant and rapid change in all areas, the social world is particularly impressionable. This vulnerability can either be the seed of positive and constructive change or harmful and destructive outcomes. Our work is to understand the two different energies and their causes and effects. Out of all forms of energy, the most profound and highly intuitive is that of the human spirit. It is on this that we focus our work. Through a deeper understanding of the nature of the human spirit, we endeavor to strategically align our work with the best in human nature. We aim to mobilize the most constructive and creative energy that can bring positive and transformative change in the social world. We believe that every human person carries this potential for great change.

Our organization is located in over 110 countries where our constituents are often part of the communities they are supporting. Our centres assist people in developing inner strength, community resilience and practical methods to deal with local and global development challenges.
