Women

Accessing our inner resources, or re-sourcing our spiritual power

Any form of discrimination or prejudice is destructive to a world that depends on the strategic balance of a full and equal partnership between women and men. Therefore, a harmonious partnership between both genders must be grounded in a deep understanding and appreciation of human nature. The problems at the core of gender equality and equity have arisen through suppression and the wrong use of power. For these to be corrected there must be a change of attitude rather than a reversal of positions or roles. There must be a change of consciousness, a heightening of awareness, which takes its birth from a foundation of spirituality rather than from a foundation of sexuality.

Our organization was founded on a vision that helped to free women from certain forms of oppression. Within our organisation, women continue to work as the main spiritual teachers, with the full cooperation and support of men who hold other key positions. Statistics continually affirm that when women and girls of a community are well, many other positive indicators of that community increase. This has been our experience as an organization since our foundation years.

We participated in the world conferences of Nairobi and Beijing and since 2007 we have been active participants with the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Our general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) afford us the privilege of submitting organizational statements (see ‘position papers’) as official UN documents, widely distributing our expertise on women. We regularly and diligently support the work of CSW and UN Women to further our combined vision of a harmonious and symbiotic relationship between women and men, the world over.
