Defining Transformation within the Sustainable Development Agenda
UNHQ, NY Thursday, January 19, 2017
The UNFPA, the Brahma Kumaris and the Institute for Research on Unlimited Love, brought together a group of 45 individuals who were experienced in their respective field of work, and showed a deep interest in how spirituality impacts global transformation.
This selective group engaged themselves in an interactive and reflective conversation on the topic “Defining Transformation within the Sustainable Development Agenda,” the second in a series of dialogues. The room was charged with a beautiful positive energy which in itself expressed the rich, heartfelt and meaningful conversation that took place.
Luis Mora, Chief of the Gender, Human Rights and Culture Branch of the UNFPA, set the context after which Dr. Stephen Post, Founding Director of the Institute for Research on Unlimited Love, spoke on a written collective paper on Human Flourishing. Judy Rodgers, as Moderator, then gave the opportunity for the three respondents to share their views: Raj Sisodia, a thought leader of the Conscious Capitalism movement; Nancy Roof, Ph.D, Founder of the award-winning Kosmos Journal: Global Transformation in Harmony with All Life; and Aleem Walji, CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation in the USA. The floor was then opened to all others to reflect, comment, share views, and/or ask questions.
