8th. International Youth Conference 2023
Empowering youth to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals: from Discussion to Innovation – Inclusion – Action
September 21-24, 2023
This event took place at the ASF Intercultural Centre, Wall Street, NYC and was organized by Generation Next with the support of UN-Habitat, AFS Intercultural Programs, The Civil Society Unit of the UN Department of Global Communications and other civil society organizations.
The conference provided a platform for many young people through networking, capacity building workshops, plenary sessions, panel discussions and innovation hubs to discuss the progress made towards achieving SDG goals by 2030 and explore ways young people can contribute to this effort. The 4 days event was very pact with many engaging panel sessions who has vast experience in their fields and on the ground.
Ms. Hawa Tailor-Kamara Diallo, the Chief of UN Dept of Global Communication was there for all the sessions, inspiring and motivating all the youths.
The highlight of the conference was the sharing of the contribution of the youths on the SDG and in their non-profit activities to inspire others on how youths can lead, how youths are involved, how youth can make the change, how youth can contribute and how youth can make it sustainable.

- Inspiring Dialogues: The fruitful discussions and insightful dialogues have paved the way for sustainable solutions and future collaborations.
- Innovation and Creativity: The array of innovative ideas and creative approaches showcased promise a brighter and more sustainable future.
BK Muralindran Mariappan represented the Brahma Kumaris and was awarded the Most Engaging Delegate for the 8th International Youth Conference.
