The sacred festival holds deep significance for us, offering an opportunity to reflect on the many dimensions of light and our shared interdependence in advancing the interconnected pillars of People, Planet, Peace, Prosperity, and Partnerships.
The event brings together members of the diplomatic corps, the UN Secretariat, government officials, civil society, and the private sector. The program will feature brief addresses, artistic expressions of light drawn from diverse cultures, and a period of meditation, celebrating the universal values of hope, harmony, unity, and peace.
