Inner Transformation for Global Sustainability: A Journey in Consciousness.
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) views the 63rd session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD63) as an opportunity to evaluate and change future actions to accelerate social development, aligning with the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration. BKWSU’s initiatives, rooted in spiritual principles, emphasize individual transformation as the foundation for social change. During the 1995 World Summit, the BKWSU shared the “Mt. Abu Declaration,” envisioning a better world built on cooperation, love, respect, and spiritual values, emphasizing that transformation starts with transforming the self.

The Brahma Kumaris participated in the conference by submitting a written statement, published on the UN website (https://docs.un.org/en/E/CN.5/2025/NGO/51) and co-hosted an online panel discussion on “Inner Transformation for Global Sustainability: A Journey in Consciousness” on February 14, 2025.
The conversation explored the power of Consciousness in the work individuals in the social development space do. The S.I.T. Consciousness experiment introduces new consciousness to shape awareness, vision, attitudes and actions. The S.I.T. Con (Soul Consciousness, Instrument Consciousness, and Trustee Consciousness) approach shifts consciousness towards serving the world with new spiritual capacity. Soul Consciousness moves beyond material concerns to recognize the inner self. Instrument Consciousness clarifies that our skills are for service and detaches from ego and outcomes. Trustee Consciousness lets go of control to empower others and share resources.
