An intimate circle of friends gathered at the Office of the Brahma Kumaris on Tuesday, October 28 to celebrate the beginning of the sacred Season of Lights.
Permanent Representative of India to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni and his spouse, Mrs. Nandita Parvathaneni; Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury, Former Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN, Ambassador Isaiah Chabala, Former Permanent Representative of Zambia to the UN; Mr. Robert Coester, Ambassador for the United Indigenous Nations; and representatives of various NGOs, were among the distinguished guests. Stories about “significance of light” from across cultures filled with room with warmth, joy, inspiration, inclusivity, and overall appreciation for who we are and our purpose here. Candles were lit to strengthen hope, solidarity, peace, and security in our world.
