Responding to the Doha Political Declaration’s call for a political, ethical, and spiritual vision for social development, this interactive workshop will explore social development as both an external and inner process grounded in human dignity, equality, cooperation, and shared values. Using a “reverse spiritual trajectory” model, the session will guide participants to work backward from desired outcomes toward the actions, vision, attitudes, awareness, and consciousness needed to build harmonious, equitable, and resilient societies.
Speakers include:
Gayatri Naraine, Main Representative of the Brahma Kumaris at the UN
Gillian D’Souza, Chair, NGO CSocD Executive Committee.
Joni Carley, Convenor of the NGO Major Group Unitive Cluster
Permanent Missions of Guyana and Nepal to the United Nations are invited guest speakers.
Event is opened to all with a valid UN grounds pass.
