Strengthening the integration of faith-based partnerships.
Everyone on earth is interconnected. We are a huge family, part of a complex family tree. Each branch of our tree represents a distinct faith, with its own religious founder, belief and rich tradition. 85% of us profess to belong to one of these religions but all of us are connected to the One Source of nourishment, the Seed. It is from this Source that we all receive hope, love, wisdom and spiritual power.
Though the world’s faiths draw from the same Source, each understands and interprets Truth in its own way. In this fragile environment, the interfaith community is working to counter the tendency of the world’s religions to retreat into the righteousness of their own positions and lose sight of our common ground. Believing that today more than ever, ethical and moral voices are needed to move our world forward, we are working together even as the world outside pulls apart. We recognize that what separates us is less important than what unites us; peace, truth and justice, the main axes of the interfaith movement.
As a spiritual organization the Brahma Kumaris work to advance agendas that include climate change, peace, environment, social development and human rights.
Below are the committees and coalitions we work with:

Geneva Interfaith Forum on Climate Change, Environment and Human Rights (GIF)
The Brahma Kumaris are members of GIF from its inception in 2008, the Geneva Interfaith Forum on Climate Change, Environment and Human Rights (GIF) has addressed climate change within a holistic perspective, recognizing its environmental, developmental, political, economic, social and cultural implications. Furthermore, from a spiritual and ethical perspective the GIF advocates for climate justice to be central to human rights and climate change discussions.

Committee of Religious NGOs
The Brahma Kumaris are Co-Chairs of The Committee of Religious NGOs at the United Nations (CRNGOs). CRINGO is a coalition of representatives of religious, spiritual and ethical non-governmental organizations who exchange varying points of view and are dedicated to the pursuit of peace, understanding and mutual respect.

UNEP Faith for the Earth Coalition – The Interfaith Women Council
In strengthening and consolidating the work with faith actors, UNEP launched the Faith for Earth Coalition. It acts as a multistakeholder platform for global interfaith dialogue between faith leaders, faith-based organizations, young people, scientists, policy makers and environmentalists on issues that
contribute to addressing global environmental challenges. In doing so, UNEP aims to facilitate policy dialogue, inspire public engagement, mobilize intergenerational dialogue and enhance religion-science collaboration. Faith for the Earth Coalition promote gender equality and giving women of faith full, equal, and meaningful participation and leadership, in efforts to solve global environmental challenges.

The Brahma Kumaris are members of The Interfaith Women Council. It is composed of women who are leaders in their faith communities or women engaging on interfaith leadership and dialogue. The Braham Kumaris are Co-chairs of the UNFCCC Interfaith Liaison Committee (ILC). The ILC was established as a Special Group under the UNFCCC during the 2013 Conference of the Parties (COP) to support the informal gathering of faith-based organizations (FBOs) actively engaged at the UNFCCC. The ILC works as a platform for FBOs to facilitate dialogue and action.
