The International Youth Conference/ Organization of Youth (IOY) held their ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026 side event at the Brahma Kumaris Office at the UN on April 16. This Youth in Action IYC event felt like momentum in motion. About 28 young leaders spoke not in ideas, but in action, advancing the SDGs from gender equity to environmental change.

Brahma Kumaris Youth Representative, Ayushi Patel, shared about Still for a Sec (SAS), an initiative by the Brahma Kumaris, created by youth, for youth. Through this, the Brahma Kumaris work reached YMCA youth as well, where many began to reflect and connect more deeply with themselves. At its core, SAS shows how small inner shifts can create meaningful outer change, aligning personal growth with action toward the SDGs.
There was a quiet confidence in the room, a sense that change is already underway, not waiting to begin. Proof that youth is not defined by age, but by the willingness to create change. Watch/listen to the voices of youth here.
These voices will be shared with the UNYouth Office.
